Dear Exhibitor,
The Washington Library Association’s annual conference will be at the Three Rivers Convention Center in the Tri Cities, Washington April 18-21. The conference theme is Washington Connects. The Conference is shaping up to be an exciting and fun filled three days of programs and events.
The conference is expected to draw between 350-400 attendees from public, academic, school, and special libraries throughout Washington State. There is a great lineup of speakers and program topics that should draw a lot of interest from this diverse library community. The Keynote speakers are Walt Crawford and Sarah Houghton, both prominent people in the library technology field. The banquet speaker is NPR’s Diane Rehm. Program topics include booktalking, grant writing, providing great reference service, intellectual freedom and new technology information.
Exhibit hours will be Thursday, April 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday April 20 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. There are three scheduled non-conflict times for attendees to visit the exhibits hall as well as special events for exhibitors that include: A no-host bar reception from 5:00 – 6:30 Thursday evening in the exhibits area and prize drawings in the exhibits hall throughout the two days.
A plus for this conference is that this is a new, state-of-the-art conference center and the exhibits area is in the heart of the program area. This should facilitate traffic through the exhibits.
