Hahn-Ahlers Continuing Education Scholarship

$1000 to a WLA member toward a degree, certificate, or graduate-level study in the Library or Education fields.

Laura Hahn, former high school librarian in Enumclaw, was an example of dedication to the field of school librarianship. Her work with students and teachers inspired all who knew her.

Eleanor Ahlers was the first Supervisor of Library Services at OSPI, AASL president and executive secretary, and the first president of the Wash. State Assoc. of School Librarians when 90 librarians met in Ellensburg in 1950. She retired in 1979 after teaching for ten years at the UW Library School.
