The Washington Library Association produces a legislative newsletter and distributes it monthly during the periods when the Washington State Legislature is in session. Print only. First issue for the session is distributed to all Association members. Subsequent issues are sent to a more limited mailing list of individual and institutional members who evince interest in receiving the report regularly.
This web page, www.wla.org/legislation/, is maintained on the WLA website and contains background information on Washington-state-level library-related legislation.
The Friends, Foundations, and Trustees Interest Group (WLFFTA) distributes a quarterly print newsletter to its members. Past issues are stored on the WLFFTA website as .pdf files (for example, Summer 2005 issue).
The ALA Washington Office maintains an electronic newsline (mailing list) to which anyone can subscribe. Newsline postings are available on the website (www.ala.org/washoff/alawon/) at about the same time as they are distributed to mailing list subscribers. Note: If you have subscribed to WLA's mailing list (wlalist), some of the ALAWON postings will get forwarded to you that way.
