WALT Meeting
Friday,
SPL--
Present:
Minutes
We decided that rather than
voting to approve the minutes form the previous meeting, the secretary will
post the minutes to the listserv and ask for comments or corrections. Once any
changes are made the minutes will be reposted and considered approved if no one
objects. That way the minutes can be
posted to the WALT website between meetings.
Debrief on Cultivating Supervisory Success workshops
Discussion of whether we should
apply for WSL CE grants in the future, and whether attendees can then apply for
grants or not. Which
would make the most savings for people.
WLA/PNLA conference proposals.
“Five Star Presentations”
proposal -- The
proposal is to have Guila Muir do a workshop and develop a guide. We will not be doing this as a
preconference. WLA is interested in
having this as part of the IG retreat.
We can also offer this as stand alone workshops. We agreed that the end
of May would be a good time. Possible
locations: Tri-cities, Tumwater, and Marysville. Keep the price around $75-$90. Approx 40 per workshop. Need to start publicizing at the end of
February.
