FRIENDS, FOUNDATIONS, AND TRUSTEES ASSOCIATION
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Adopted November 14, 1998
- The WLFFTA Steering Committee shall sponsor at least two hours of programming at the Washington Library Association Annual Conference.
- WLFFTA will publish a newsletter at least four times each year in accordance with WLA guidelines.
- Each member of the WLFFTA Steering Committee will serve on at least one committee.
- The standing committees of WLFFTA will include but not be limited to:
- Newsletter
- Legislative Day
- Conference Program Planning
- Handbook/Manual Review
- Nominations
- Awards
- Membership
- By-Laws/Policies & Procedures Review
- The WLFFTA Steering Committee will appoint a committee to review the Friends Handbook on even numbered years and the Trustees manual on odd numbered years.
- The WLFFTA Steering committee will provide regular liaison* to WLA through: WLFFTA representative to the WLA Board, the WLA Public Relations/Membership Committee, the WLA continuing Education Council, the WLA Legislative Committee, and the WLA Annual Conference Committee.
- The WLFFTA Steering Committee will provide regular liaison to the Washington State Library through a representative to the planning committee for the Workshop in Library leadership conference.
- The Chair or the Chair's appointee shall be the chief Financial Officer of WLFFTA. The officer will be familiar with WLA policies and procedures for receiving and disbursing funds. The Financial Officer will present a budget for Steering Committee approval at the meeting following the WLA annual conference.
- When appropriate, the WLFFTA Chair will appoint a Web site coordinator, who will be charged with compliance with the WLA Webmaster and provide needed updates to the WLFFTA Home Page.
