The Washington Library Association (WLA) is a resource for libraries and the people who make them great! WLA is a vibrant and effective advocate for libraries, library professionals and library allies. It’s also a community where its members learn, grow professionally, develop strong relationships & have fun.
WLA is pleased to announce that it has selected Primary Source for the management of WLA and our conference program services. Primary Source, headed by Executive Director Kate Laughlin, provides project management, professional development, and strategic consultation for libraries. Kate is a longtime WLA and ALA member with experience as a board member for the WALT section of WLA as well as the coordination of WLA’s conferences for the past seven years. Kate’s incredible knowledge of Pacific Northwest libraries, her unique institutional knowledge of WLA, and her strategic planning experience make Primary Source the perfect partner in moving WLA’s strategic initiatives forward. The WLA Board is excited to be working with Kate and her team, including Assistant Director Emily Jones, in making WLA an organization where individual and institutional members find clear value in their membership and anyone working in or in support of WA’s libraries can see their place and feel that they belong in WLA.
Thank you to everyone who attended the conference in Spokane! Conference presentation materials can be found here.
