WLA Committees

About WLA Committees

Thank you for your interest in WLA's Standing Committees! Whether you're new to WLA or a longtime volunteer, we would love for you to get involved.

Committee Chairs are appointed by the WLA President. Committee members are appointed by the Committee Chair. Committee terms are a minimum of one year. Committee Chairs and Committee Members will be asked at the end of their one-year term if they would like to serve an additional one-year term. Committees are required to maintain Divisional balance, meaning all committees will consist of a minimum of one member from each of WLA's four Divisions.
Committee members should:

  • Participate in the meetings and activities of the committee.
  • Have an interest in the work of the committee.
