Workshop Series: "The Journey to Becoming an Anti-Racist Organization"

The Washington Library Association is proud to host "The Journey to Becoming an Anti-Racist Organization," a three-part workshop presented by Lewin Education and Consulting.

Online registration is now closed.

WLA has made a commitment to centering equity, diversity and inclusion in our organization and we acknowledge in this time, when the inequities and violence suffered by people of color have been so clearly revealed, it is imperative that any one of good conscious use an anti-racist lens in all aspects of our lives, relationships, and organizations.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from WLA's CLAWS Section, Academic Library Division/ACRL-WA, Public Library Division, and Special Library Division, we are excited to offer this FREE of charge to WLA Members.

The workshop series will take place on the following dates:

  • Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00 am-12:00 pm
  • Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10:00 am-12:00 pm
  • Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00 am-12:00 pm

It is highly encouraged that you attend all three sessions and important that you attend session one as the content builds upon itself in each consecutive session.

Sessions will not be recorded, as it is the understanding that the intellectual property belongs to Lewin Education and Consulting. Additionally, by not recording, a safe space will be ensured to present participants for the extremely important self-work they will be engaging in.
