2022 Conference COVID Guidelines

The health and safety of everyone who attends WLA 2022 is our top priority. The WLA Conference Committee and Office will be carefully tracking all of the latest health and safety guidance for large group gatherings from the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health.

WLA is actively tracking emerging news regarding COVID-19 and its variants, and will follow applicable federal, state, and local laws, adapting plans accordingly. We are working closely with Bellevue Marriott to promote a safe conference. Any change in protocols will be communicated via the WLA Website and to registrants.

WLA will require all registrants to show either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR or Rapid test result within 72 hours of the first day of events.

  • You are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving your second shot of a double-dose vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccination (Johnson and Johnson (J&J)/Janssen).
  • Proof of vaccination will be required at the registration desk in order to receive your badge. Proof includes either of the following options:
  • Your Physical Vaccination Card
  • Digital Copy of Your Vaccination Card - either digital photo or via app such as MyIR Mobile
  • Medical record indicating your complete vaccination
  • A negative PCR or Rapid COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the first day of events

Masks will be required at all WLA events including, but not limited to, meetings in the hotels, conference rooms, and on the exhibit floor, regardless of whether it is required by law at the time of the Conference.

We ask all registrants to:

  • Avoid person-to-person contact and maintain a minimum distance of 6-feet from others to allow for “social distancing.”
  • Wear a face mask or covering even when not at official WLA events such as the airport, hotel lobby, libraries, etc, especially whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer if hand washing is not readily available.

We request that attendees agree to the following:

  • They will not attend the Conference if they have knowingly been exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19 within the fourteen (14) days prior to the Conference or if they are experiencing or have experienced COVID-19 symptoms within the fourteen (14) days prior to the Conference.
  • They will notify WLA at [email protected] if they experience symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 at any time during the Conference or within 14 days after participating in the Event.

We request that attendees understand:

  • Traveling to and attending the Conference could increase their risk of contracting COVID-19.
  • WLA is not responsible for the Venue’s COVID-19 mitigation efforts (or lack thereof) or any negligence by the Venue or its staff relative to such precautions.

As part of our efforts to hold a safe in-person event, in-person conference attendees will be asked to fill out a supplementary COVID-19 acknowledgement form as part of their registration. An attendee's registration will not be considered finalized until they have filled out the form.

If you have any questions please contact the WLA Office at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you in Bellevue!
