Simon loves a good book talk. I am certain literacy is at the forefront of his naps which are frequent.

Having spent countless hours perched on bookshelves and overseeing her mom’s work planning WLA conferences, Sophie believes in the power of literature and libraries, and she is honored by the pawsibililty to serve WLA as your 2024 Pawsident. As an elderly three-legged cat, Sophie understands the importance of perseverance and remaining pawsitive, and she believes that WLA is a community for everyone, regardless of the number of legs they have.

Whether it's attending committee meetings, or trying to drink mom's coffee (mostly for the vanilla creamer), Watson stays engaged with WLA. Why Willow Loves WLA:
Read Free Or Die is Willow's motto! Willow loves libraries for their fun atmosphere, dedication to communities, and championship of equal and equitable access to knowledge for all - things that she knows WLA stands for and helps foster! When Willow first moved in with her librarian human she was able to go to the library as a service dog in training (she's on break in her training right now however) and while there she got to see first-hand the difference that libraries make in so many people's lives. Willow found this inspiring and wants to do her part to help support libraries everywhere, but especially in WA state!
